This Privacy Policy explains how Threadwire Private Limited, operating under the brand Threadslab ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you visit our website or engage us for our organic marketing services (the "Services").

We are an organic marketing agency. We help brands grow their presence on community platforms such as Reddit and Discord, and we produce content intended to improve visibility across search engines and AI / LLM systems. To deliver these Services, we handle a limited amount of information about you and, where applicable, about your business and brand. This policy describes exactly what we handle and why.

We are committed to a simple principle: we do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information for anyone else's marketing or advertising. The information you give us stays between you and us.

1. Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to: (a) visitors to our website; (b) prospective clients who contact us or request a proposal; and (c) clients who engage us for the Services. Where we act for a client (for example, running a community the client owns or producing content for them), we process information under that client's instructions and in line with the agreement between us.

2. Information we collect

We deliberately keep data collection to a minimum. We collect only what is necessary to communicate with you and deliver the Services. This typically includes:

  • Identity and contact details: your name, email address, phone number, and the messaging or social handles you use to reach us.
  • Business and brand information: your company name, website URL, the platforms and communities relevant to your brand, and the goals or briefs you share with us.
  • Communications: the messages, emails, documents, briefs, and feedback you send us, and our correspondence with you.
  • Commercial information: proposals, invoices, payment references, and records reasonably required for billing, accounting, and tax.
  • Website and technical data: basic information your browser sends automatically when you visit our website, such as IP address, device and browser type, and pages viewed. See the section on cookies below.

We do not seek to collect sensitive personal data (such as financial account passwords, government identifiers, health, or similar) and ask that you do not share it with us unless we have specifically requested it for a clearly explained purpose.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect only for the following purposes:

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Services, including planning, creating, publishing, and managing organic marketing content and community activity on your behalf.
  • To communicate with you, respond to enquiries, share updates on your projects, and manage our working relationship.
  • To prepare proposals, deliver work, and report on outcomes.
  • To handle billing, accounting, and our legal and tax obligations.
  • To send you service updates and, where you have consented, occasional marketing about our Services. You can opt out of marketing at any time.
  • To operate, secure, and improve our website.
  • To protect our rights, enforce our agreements, prevent fraud or misuse, and comply with applicable law.

We process your information on lawful grounds, which include your consent, the performance of our agreement with you, our legitimate interest in running and improving our business, and compliance with legal obligations. We do not use your information for any purpose unrelated to the Services without telling you first.

4. We do not share your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing or advertising. The information you give us stays between you and us. We use it solely to communicate with you and to deliver the Services you have engaged us for.

The only exception is where we are legally required to disclose information, for example to comply with a law, regulation, court order, or a valid request from a public authority, or where disclosure is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

5. Confidentiality of client materials

We treat the briefs, strategies, materials, and non-public information you share with us as confidential. We use them solely to deliver the Services to you and do not disclose them to other clients or any third party except as required by law. This confidentiality continues even after our engagement ends.

6. Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy. For example, we keep it for the duration of our engagement, and afterwards for the period we reasonably need to maintain business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal, accounting, or tax requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it.

7. Data security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You share information with us at your own risk and are responsible for keeping any credentials you hold secure.

8. Cookies and tracking

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, understand basic usage, and improve your experience. Most browsers let you control or disable cookies through their settings. Disabling cookies may affect how parts of the website function.

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google. It helps us see which pages our readers visit and how they find our website. Google Analytics runs for all visitors to this website and stores cookies in your browser to tell whether you are a new or returning visitor. It collects information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, the type of device and browser you use, the website that referred you, and your general location. Google processes this information for us and may store it on servers outside India. We do not sell it.

You can stop this website from using Google Analytics by setting your browser to block or delete cookies, or by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Our website and our content may link to third-party websites and platforms that we do not control. This policy does not cover those sites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their policies.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page. Significant changes may also be communicated to active clients directly. Your continued use of the website or the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.

11. The free AI visibility audit

When you request an audit, we collect your company's website and your email address. In addition, our website host collects information like your IP address and browser for spam filtering purposes.

We use this information only to prepare your audit, send it to you by email and answer your questions about it. We will not send you newsletters, and we will not sell or share your information with others for their marketing purposes.

Our website form is hosted by Netlify. We store a copy of the information you provide in our Google Workspace (Google Sheets and email), and our team receives a notification in Slack. These services store it on our behalf and may store it outside India.

We keep this information for 6 months after sending you the audit and then delete it. If you become our client, section 6 (Data retention) applies instead.

You can request a copy of your information, correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing us at founder@threadslab.in. We will respond within 30 days. We process your data in line with applicable data protection laws, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, where it applies to you, the EU and UK GDPR.
